Most finance officers will have started out as an accountant or accountancy technician, which involves gaining qualifications from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
You will need to have high levels of numeracy and literacy and be methodical and thorough in your approach to work. As you will be dealing with people at all levels, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
