Typically you will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm however if a bank employs you you may be required to work weekends in line with their opening hours.

What can I earn?

Starting salaries range from £22,000 to £35,000, or can be as high as £45,000 in the financial sector. Salaries for experienced financial managers can earn between £65,000 and £95,000.

What are the benefits?

If you are self-employed or working on a consultancy basis then there is the opportunity to travel the country to different clients. It is also a lucrative career choice and some organisations and banks may offer bonuses and commission.

Are there chances of promotion?

It is possible to progress into a director role, either as finance director or in some cases managing director.
