Role Snapshot:

Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Function: Sales

Location: South London (Field-based)

Standard Hours: 40 hours

Salary: Up to £46,000

Bonus: Up to £20,000 per annum

Your Mission: As the Area Sales Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and developing relationships across a defined geographical area. The focus will be on roofing merchants, specialist distribution, roofing contractors, house builders, and local developers. Don't worry if you're not a flat-roofing expert - while it's desirable, it's not a essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop relationships with various stakeholders in the roofing industry

Meet and exceed targets set by Divisional Management

Create and manage opportunities/pricing using CRM effectively

Collaborate with the team to ensure sales activities align with business needs

Support Pitched TSM with quotations, surveys, pricing, and supply chain on specified opportunities

Manage quality complaints effectively

What They're Looking For:

Experience in account management and development

Commercially astute with proven negotiation and relationship management skills

PC literate with knowledge of CRM, C4C, Microsoft Office/Google G Suite

Excellent presentation skills

Experience with rebate structures, P&L responsibility, and pricing

Comfortable with safe working at heights and using ladders if necessary

Full UK Driving Licence/DBS Compliant

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of the construction industry, particularly flat and pitched roofing

Good product knowledge of the full product range, processes, and administration

Understanding of manufacturing processes contributing to project quality

Work Structure: Expect 3-4 days a week on the road, making connections and driving sales. Dedicate 1-2 days a week to admin tasks, ensuring your strategies are as effective as possible.
