Our client is a key supplier to the armed forces, who supply full turnkey services including system design, mechanical and software engineering, system integration, trials, production and delivery services and support
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing new business, managing existing programs, and ensuring the successful execution of military contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead negotiation, execution, and life-cycle management of high-value military contracts
Collaborate with Parent Companies to secure new business and manage existing programs
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain contractual terms and conditions
Prepare cost models and competitive price proposals
Provide excellent customer service and support to end-users
Support subcontract managers in negotiation and management of major subcontracts
Assist Head of Commercial with legal and commercial aspects of contracts
Person Specification:
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and capabilities:
Ability to work within compliance and governance structures to gain contract approvals
Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities
Strong financial acumen and attention to detail
Proven track record in negotiating high-value commercial agreements
Organizational skills and ability to work independently
3+ years' experience in contracts/commercial/supply chain in engineering/aerospace/defence sectors
Working knowledge of trade/export compliance regulations and UK Government contracting regulations
International Commercial Law Degree or equivalent (desirable)
