Tonic are pleased to partner with our client to recruit a General Manager for their fresh food gastropub near Solihull. This is a country pub that takes its food seriously, with a loyal local following and a strong reputation to match. Our client is looking for a natural host, someone with true hospitality in them, visible on the floor and setting the standard for service rather than directing it from the office. You will have an established kitchen behind you, on-site office support, and the backing of senior leadership. What are we looking for from General Manager candidates?
Current or recent General Manager experience within a high-volume, fresh food gastropub or restaurant
Comfortable with a big Sunday and a busy Christmas trading period
A genuine host, front of house, on the floor, known by the regulars
Commercially sharp across GP, labour, stock and the full P&L
Able to lead an established kitchen and a front-of-house management team
Available across weekends around peak trading
Someone who wants a long-term home, not a stepping stone
