Job Description:

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our technical support team, providing assistance to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of their IT systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, implementing solutions, and delivering high-quality support services. This role involves a combination of remote support and onsite visits to client locations within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to IT support requests from clients via phone, email, or ticketing system.

Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.

Set up and troubleshoot networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

Perform regular system updates and upgrades.

Provide technical guidance and training to end-users.

Ensure data security and system integrity by implementing best practices.

Document all support activities and maintain accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based services.

Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).

Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux).

Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
