Electronics Technical Manager

Berkshire | Up to £70,000 plus car and excellent bonus, depending on experienceLead the technology, solve problems and deliver solutions.We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Technical Manager, with a strong electronics background, especially in embedded electronics, EMC & Power electronics to lead technical activity across a specialist electronics environment.This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining electronics engineering, customer support, product development, manufacturing, test activity and team leadership.What you will doLead technical activities across embedded electronics and power productsSupport customers and Sales teams with technical solutions and product design-insSelect, source and qualify third-party products and componentsOversee electronics design, integration, prototyping, modification and testingManage production workflow, technical documentation and quality requirementsLead EMC testing and support the development of an in-house test capabilityDevelop test specifications, wiring schedules, reports and control proceduresProvide technical support for fault-finding, repairs and corrective actionsWork closely with suppliers, manufacturers, Product Managers and customersSupervise engineering, test and production personnelWhat we are looking forYou are likely to have:A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Science or equivalent experienceStrong experience across electronics design, manufacture and testExperience with embedded boards, power supplies and electronic systemsHigh-level system design and technical problem-solving capabilityExperience with EMC and environmental testing, including designing for EMCCAD and schematic capture experienceExperience of fault-finding, repair and product modificationKnowledge of quality standards and QMSExperience with Windows, Linux or real-time operating systemsStrong customer and supplier communication skillsThe ability to manage people, projects and competing prioritiesWhat you getCompany Car | Pension | Life Insurance | Bonus (of up to 20%)Why consider it?This is an opportunity to move beyond purely technical delivery and take genuine ownership of technical solutions, customer requirements, product development and engineering capability.You will be close to the technology, the customer and the delivery, with the opportunity to make a visible impact across design, test and production.If you are an experienced electronics engineer ready to take the next step into technical leadership, we would like to hear from you.SecurityDue to the nature of the work, applicants must be a British Citizen or dual national with British Citizenship and will be required to undergo UK security clearance checks to gain security clearance to UK government standards.Cirrus Selectionare specialist recruiters to the engineering and technology sectors, offers the services of an Employment Agency for permanent recruitment and the services of an Employment Business for contract recruitment.
