Wakefield

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? Do you have experience in supporting students with behavioural challenges? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Support Worker at Veritas Education in Secondary Schools in Wakefield.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.

Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions in collaboration with teaching staff and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).

Establish positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to facilitate their personal and academic growth.

Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized support plans.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural difficulties, is desirable.

Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

Patience, empathy, and resilience in dealing with challenging situations.

A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting the holistic development of students.
