An exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a leading logistics / Freight company in the heart of central London , We are looking for an experience Business development Manager who has experience / within Air freight and Logistics who have worked with clients in the Fashion , Media, Music and events industry.The role will be responsible for the development of New sales for high end clients across the Fashion , Media , TV and Event industry mainly in central London, you will be responsible for development new business and growing business within existing clients and have experience within Air freight, Logistics. Sales and business development is a key focus for the role and the ideal person will be motivated by sales , delivering first class service and achieving sales target .The ideal person will be highly professional , articulate and be able to demonstrate a successful sales background within the Freight / logistics industry and have experience of working with high end clients . The role will be fully remote with around 60% Travel to clients mainly in London . Highly competitive Salary with an excellent Commission scheme Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
Remain continually updated with market/industry news, trends, challenges and opportunities.
Works to establish new accounts in the territory; sells the company’s products in an assigned territory.
Works with potential clients and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to clients based on their needs.
Ensures client satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
Works with the Account Management team to successfully handover accounts through the onboarding process to allow for account integration into the business.
Maintains communication with clients, where directed by the Account Management team post client onboarding.
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any client or vendor relationship problems
Provides periodic territory sales forecasts utilizing internal and external data to identify opportunities
Key Skills At least five years of experience in logistics and/or working with luxury brands in a business development capacity required
Must be growth and new sales focused and able to independently create and then target prospect and potential new customer lists
Must be prepared for this role to be 90% focused on new sales, continually hunting for new customers and opportunities
