Financial Controller

This Financial Controller role is broad and hands-on, offering genuine commercial exposure and the opportunity to influence performance across an international business. You'll also join during an exciting period of transformation, with scope to shape systems, processes, inventory and group reporting.

A specialist, international engineering and manufacturing business with a presence across global markets. The business operates within a highly specialised niche, following a period of growth, the business is now strengthening its finance function, creating an exciting opportunity to join at a key stage.

Description

You'll be expected to go beyond producing numbers - challenging variances, understanding operational drivers and partnering with stakeholders to improve performance. There's also a key systems and inventory focus as the business moves to a new manufacturing ERP, alongside the opportunity to take ownership of group consolidation and reporting as you settle into the role.

Key Responsibilities;

• Producing monthly management accounts.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Stock valuation and inventory accounting.
• Working closely with manufacturing teams to understand and analyse costs.
• Identifying opportunities to improve cost control and profitability.
• Preparing information for board reporting.
• Supporting ERP and finance system improvements.
• Providing commercially focused analysis and insight to senior management.
• Working across multiple international operations and currencies.

Profile

• Qualified accountant ideally CIMA, ACCA or ACA, with proven Management Accountant experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A commercially minded approach.
• Knowledge of stock/inventory accounting and valuation.

Job Offer

• Salary between £65,000 and £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Flexible working hours.
• 10-20% annual bonus depending on company and individual performance
