The Dog & Duck is an independent, owner-led pub in Emmbrook, Wokingham. Were looking for an ambitious Head Chef to take ownership of our kitchen and play a key role in the next stage of the pubs development.
Were looking for someone who enjoys having a genuine influence over their food operation, with the freedom to develop the menu, the team and the way the kitchen works.
The role
Youll work closely with the owners and have genuine input into the development of the food operation. Youll lead the kitchen team, develop the menu, maintain high food and hygiene standards, manage ordering and stock, and help create a kitchen that delivers consistently great food and service.

About you
Were looking for someone who is:
An experienced Head Chef, Sous Chef or an ambitious chef ready to take the next step
Passionate about good-quality pub food
Commercially aware and organised
Calm and confident during busy services
A natural leader who enjoys developing people
Creative and willing to contribute ideas
Experience in a busy pub, gastro pub or quality casual dining environment would be advantageous.
What we offer
£36,000 basic salary + up to £6,000 annual performance bonus + tips
5-day week / 45 hours
Youll have genuine autonomy and the opportunity to work directly with the owners to shape develop the food operation.
