SEN Teaching Assistant – SEN School – Upminster | September Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning?

We are working with a welcoming SEN school in Upminster that is looking to appoint a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September.

The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported with their learning, emotional wellbeing, communication and personal development. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils engage with lessons, develop independence and build positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs

Be patient, empathetic and confident building strong relationships

Have a calm and consistent approach when supporting challenging behaviour

Be passionate about helping pupils develop confidence and independence

Be reliable, proactive and work well as part of a wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
