Casual Programme Worker (STEM Education & Youth Engagement)

EDT (Engineering Development Trust) is one of the UK's leading STEM education charities, inspiring young people to develop the skills, confidence and aspirations needed to succeed in the world of work.

West Midlands England (Birmingham, Coventry, Nottingham, Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall, Wolverhampton) and surrounding areas.

We are expanding our pool of Casual Programme Workers across the West Midlands to help deliver innovative STEM education programmes, workshops, events and residential experiences for young people aged 9-18.

This is an ideal opportunity for those with experience in:

• Teaching Assistant or Learning Support roles
• Community Engagement
• Coaching or Mentoring

Whether you're an educator, STEM professional, youth worker, university student or someone with experience engaging young people, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Casual Programme Worker, you will support the successful delivery of engaging STEM learning experiences that inspire young people and help them explore future career pathways.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering interactive STEM workshops and educational activities
• Facilitating group discussions and team-based challenges
• Leading and motivating groups of young people in a safe and engaging environment
• Providing pastoral support and promoting positive participation
• Supporting safeguarding, welfare and health & safety requirements
• Assisting with programme logistics, registration and event administration
• Building positive relationships with schools, students, industry volunteers and partners
• Supporting face-to-face, virtual and residential programmes
