Location: Redditch

Pay: £13.00–£14.00 per hour

Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Redditch.

The role involves cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases. You’ll be working from work-to lists and cutting lists to produce high-quality products to the required standards.

Full training will be provided, so this could be a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

Operating production machinery including upcut extrusion saws, pillar drills and hydraulic presses

Cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases

Working from work-to lists and cutting lists

Reading and working from engineering drawings

Carrying out basic machine maintenance, including changing saw blades and press changeovers

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards

Working independently and as part of a team

Skills & Experience

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential

Experience operating production machinery would be advantageous

Ability to read engineering drawings would be beneficial

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

Good timekeeping and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Flexible and proactive approach to work

Willingness to learn new skills

Overtime available depending on production demand
