Teaching Assistant - Daventry
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: Up to £105 per day, depending on experience

Tradewind Recruitment are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Daventry who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children learn, grow in confidence, and achieve their potential. You will work alongside the class teacher and wider school team to provide valuable support throughout the school day.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important part in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of daily lessons and activities
Providing additional support to individual pupils and small groups
Helping children stay focused, engaged, and confident in their learning
Encouraging pupils to develop independence and positive learning habits
Assisting with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials
Supporting classroom routines and organisation
Helping to create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued
Reinforcing learning through additional activities and targeted support
Supporting pupils' social and emotional development where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working with children, ideally within a school, nursery, or similar setting
Is enthusiastic about supporting children's education and development
Is patient, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Can follow the direction of the class teacher while also showing initiative
Is adaptable and comfortable working with children of different abilities and needs
Is reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding
Works well as part of a wider school teamWhether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to take your first steps into a career in education, this could be an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience.
