We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade at a lovely corporate hotel and events venue in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a quality-driven operation that delivers everything from relaxed dining and afternoon teas to events.

Working alongside an experienced Executive Chef, you'll play a key role in maintaining food standards while helping to inspire and develop a passionate kitchen team.

The Role

You'll be an integral part of the day-to-day kitchen operation, ensuring every dish leaving the pass reflects the high standards the hotel is renowned for.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Executive Chef with the day-to-day management of the kitchen

Leading and motivating the brigade during service

Delivering exceptional food across the restaurant, private dining, weddings and events

Assisting with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients

Maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

Managing stock control, ordering and food cost management

Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards

Coaching and developing junior chefs to reach their full potential

About You

We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Sous Chef who enjoys working in a busy, quality-led hotel environment.

You'll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step

A background within quality branded hotels, events venues

Strong leadership and organisational skills

Experience delivering high-volume service without compromising quality

Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

A calm and professional approach under pressure

The Package

£40,000 basic salary

service charge

45-hour contract
