Operations Manager

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of Hard and Soft FM across 17 PFI schools, ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are met while driving service excellence. You will guide frontline teams and collaborate with the Technical Compliance and Lifecycle managers to maintain compliance and efficiency. The role focuses on performance management, workflow control, subcontractor oversight and continuous improvement within a complex, education-focused contract. You will work closely with clients and school leadership to minimise disruption to teaching and learning and deliver impactful operational change. Pay / Benefits

• Lead integrated Hard and Soft FM service delivery across a dispersed school portfolio Manage risk through proactive identification, escalation and mitigation Monitor and improve KPI, SLA and performance deduction trends Develop and improve operational processes, controls and workflows Ensure CAFM systems support service delivery and reporting Coordinate planned, reactive and lifecycle activities across multiple stakeholders and sites Manage subcontractors and supply chain to ensure compliance Support compliance programmes for fabric, grounds and statutory requirements Coordinate operational support for lifecycle activities Lead incident response and business continuity where required Build strong relationships with clients, school leadership and stakeholders Drive a culture of accountability, customer focus and continuous improvement Use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities Ensure safeguarding principles are reflected in service delivery Lead operational change initiatives and embed new processes and ways of working Tasks Significant operational management experience within Facilities Management Experience delivering Hard and Soft FM services Proven experience managing KPI, SLA and performance-based regimes Strong people management in multi-disciplinary teams Experience with subcontractor and contract management Experience using CAFM systems and performance reporting tools Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills Full UK Driving Licence DBS Enhanced check clearance
