EngineerLocation: OxfordshireRate: £40 per hour UMBContract: TemporaryWe are currently recruiting for an Engineer / Senior Engineer to support the delivery of civil enforcement and parking projects across Oxfordshire.The RoleThe successful candidate will be involved in the development and implementation of new parking restrictions, including Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), helping to maximise the effective use of on-street parking for local residents, communities and the travelling public.The role will also support projects involving the introduction of ANPR sites, as well as the design and implementation of appropriate traffic signs to enable effective and legally compliant enforcement.You will be responsible for ensuring that relevant legislation, local policies and procedures are followed, with any issues or concerns identified and raised appropriately.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement new parking restrictions and CPZs.Support ANPR implementation projects.Design and implement appropriate traffic signing.Ensure schemes comply with relevant legislation and regulations.Work in line with local policies, procedures and technical standards.Liaise with internal teams and relevant stakeholders.Identify and escape technical or compliance issues.Contribute to the delivery of effective parking and traffic management schemes.If you have relevant engineering experience within highways, traffic management, parking or civil enforcement, we would be keen to hear from you.Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices.
