Production Supervisor

Job Description

This company have a range of their specialised high-quality products which have been developed using traditional methods. They are 'Grade AA+' certified in the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and have a particular emphasis on quality and service.

About the Production Supervisor job

The purpose of your role will be to supervise the Low-Risk production team, ensuring staff are properly trained, resourced and working safely while meeting production, efficiency and quality targets.

Key tasks

  • Carry out regular stock takes and ensure stock levels are accurately recorded.
  • Supervise the Low-Risk production team, ensuring employees are appropriately resourced, trained and motivated to produce safe, high-quality products.
  • Ensure weekly production and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining the required quality standards.
  • Oversee and verify the completion of accurate production paperwork, ensuring all products are fully traceable.
  • Monitor customer quality complaints in collaboration with the Technical team and other departments, identifying improvements and implementing changes where required.
  • Work closely with the Technical team and Production Managers to ensure company hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
  • Support the production team with manufacturing activities when required.

About You

  • The successful candidate shall have experience of working in the manufacturing of food products and could suit a person stepping into a leadership role from a production level position.
  • Excellent working knowledge of food production machinery, processes and equipment.
  • Sound understanding of food hygiene, HACCP trained and ideally an understanding of the BRCGS standards.

The Production Supervisorjob (ref:9099 is payingbetween £35,000 - £37,000according to your experience.

The working hours are 5.30am to 2:00pm.

The site is in the North West England and is commutable from Manchester, Wigan, Leigh, Bury, Chorley, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Preston and surrounding areas.
