Were currently looking for a Health & Social Care Teaching Assistant to join the college on a full-time basis , supporting college-aged students with Autism within their Health & Social Care classes .

The Role

Youll be supporting students both within lessons and across the wider college environment, helping them to engage with their learning, develop independence and build practical skills relevant to Health & Social Care.

Were looking for someone who is:

Patient, caring and genuinely passionate about supporting young people

Confident working with students with Autism and additional needs

Able to build positive, trusting relationships with students

Calm, consistent and resilient , particularly when supporting students who may become overwhelmed

A strong communicator who can work effectively as part of a wider college team

Engaging and encouraging , with the ability to motivate students and make learning accessible

Ideally experienced within a Secondary School, Sixth Form or College

Alternatively, candidates from a care, support work or health/social care background will be considered, particularly where they have a good understanding of Autism
