Teaching Assistant Full-Time & Long-Term School OpportunitiesLocation: Derby & surrounding areasHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 3:30pmContract: Long-term, temporary and potential temp-to-perm opportunitiesPay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experienceAre you looking for a Monday to Friday role that fits around family life?Do you have experience working with children, young people, vulnerable adults, or individuals who require additional support?Enlightenment Education is looking for reliable, confident and caring people to work as Teaching Assistants in schools across Derby and the surrounding areas.We work closely with mainstream schools, SEND provisions and specialist settings, supporting children with a wide range of additional needs. You don't necessarily need previous school experience, but you do need to have something valuable to bring to the role.What we're looking forWe're particularly interested in people who have:Strong communication skillsExperience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individualsExperience with SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs desirable but not essentialPrevious experience in education, care, youth work, sports, counselling, psychology, social care or similar settingsPatience, resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situationsConfidence communicating with children, staff and other professionalsA genuine interest in helping children develop and succeedReliability and a professional approachThe ability to build positive relationships and work as part of a teamTransferable skills are very welcome. We have successfully placed people from a variety of backgrounds, but we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate how their previous experience would benefit children in a school environment.What you'll be doingDepending on the school and individual needs, your role could include:Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basisWorking within a SEND hub or specialist provisionSupporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needsHelping pupils access learning and participate in school lifeSupporting emotional regulation and positive behaviourWorking alongside teachers and other support staffHelping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skillsWhy work with Enlightenment Education?We're a small, independent Derby-based education agency, so you're not just another candidate on a database.You'll deal directly with the same people throughout your registration and placements.
