Teaching Assistant Location: Sheffield, S20 Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: ASAP Are you a passionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity in Sheffield? We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in S20 . The successful candidate will work predominantly within Year 3/4 , while also being flexible and willing to provide support across all year groups within the school . No two days will necessarily be the same, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a genuine difference across the school community. A key focus of the role will be supporting some of the school's more vulnerable pupils , helping them to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and feel happy and supported in school. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Work predominantly within Year 3/4 Provide support across all year groups when required Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis Work closely with teachers to support learning and development Provide additional support to vulnerable pupils Help pupils overcome barriers to learning Support children's emotional wellbeing and confidence Encourage positive behaviour and engagement Adapt to the changing needs of the school and its pupils Build positive and trusting relationships with children Become a valued and flexible member of the wider school team What We're Looking For The school is looking for someone who is: Caring, patient and approachable Passionate about supporting children and helping them succeed Flexible and happy to work across different year groups Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs Able to build strong and positive relationships with children Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations Proactive and willing to get stuck in wherever support is needed Reliable, enthusiastic and committed A strong team player Previous experience working within a primary school or supporting vulnerable children would be highly desirable.
