Job Description

Support Worker - Make a Difference Every Day

Location: Featherstone, West Yorkshire

Are you naturally caring, patient and compassionate? Can you stay calm when situations become challenging?

We're looking for Support Workers to join an established care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

For us, this isn't just about experience. We're looking for people with the right attitude - people who genuinely care, treat others with dignity and respect, and can remain calm and reassuring when someone needs them most.

We are prepared to offer

A Great Benefits Package

£12.81 to £13.31 per hour

£500 joining bonus - £250 after 6 months and £250 after 12 months

Double time on Bank Holidays

Extra 50p per hour for all weekend hours

5.6 weeks' holiday

The Role

You'll support people to live fulfilling, varied and as independent a life as possible. Depending on individual needs, this could include:

Supporting with daily routines and personal care

Shopping, cooking and household tasks

Helping people access activities and the local community

Encouraging independence, choice and the development of new skills

Supporting health and wellbeing, including appointments

Administering medication once appropriately trained

Supporting days out, activities, trips and holidaysThe aim is simple: help people live the life they choose, with the right support around them.

What We're Looking For

You'll need to be caring, patient, reliable and compassionate, with the ability to remain calm in stressful or challenging situations.

You'll also need to be flexible

Please note:

You must be prepared to work 3 weekends out of every 4

Shifts may include Bank Holidays

You must already have the Right to Work in the UK
