Overview

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic Principal or Associate Structural Engineer to lead a skilled team in their Leeds office.

This is an opportunity to shape a strong, established team while delivering some of the region’s most exciting and technically challenging projects, from small-scale developments to multi-billion-pound regeneration schemes.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of up to 8 engineers and technicians.

Deliver a portfolio of high-profile projects across sectors such as healthcare, residential, leisure, commercial, education, and mixed-use developments.

Manage team performance, resources, finances, quality, and project delivery.

Contribute to office and business-wide strategy, driving innovation and best practice.

Engage in business development, building strong client and partner relationships.

Collaborate closely with project teams to create sustainable, cost-effective design solutions.

Qualifications

Chartered engineer (or actively working towards chartership if at Principal level).

Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and delivering multi-disciplinary design projects.

Confident in client-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Commercially aware with strong financial and resource management capabilities.

A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to inspire and mentor others.
