Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a growing manufacturing team in Barton-upon-Humber. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment, supporting the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of site machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot breakdowns, and carry out repairs.
  • Work with PLC-controlled machinery to identify and resolve electrical faults.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across safety, processes, and technology.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the Shire CMMS system.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Shift Patterns

Main Site (Rotating)

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Week 2: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach.

Desirable

  • Experience in FMCG, timber, woodworking, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
