SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School
Location: Oxford, OX3 area.
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £95-£105 per day.

Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a specialist setting?

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic specialist school in Oxford, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and experienced team on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning, development and wellbeing.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Support pupils with their learning, communication, emotional regulation and social development.
Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver engaging and accessible activities.
Help create a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and encourage their confidence and independence.
Support pupils with their individual needs and behaviour strategies.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about working with children and young people with SEN.
Experienced working in a school or educational setting, with at least 6 months' school-based experience.
Patient, empathetic, resilient and nurturing.
Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
Reliable, proactive and committed to helping every pupil reach their potential.
Previous SEN experience is highly desirable, although we are also keen to hear from talented Teaching Assistants who have developed relevant experience supporting children with additional needs.
