SEN Teaching Assistant
Full-Time | Term Time Only | 8:30am - 4:00pm

Are you a caring, patient and compassionate person who genuinely wants to make a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs?
We are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive team, working with children and young people aged 3-19.
Previous SEN experience is not essential. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds who have the right attitude, a caring nature and a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
This is a role where care, nurture, patience and building meaningful relationships are just as important as academic learning. You will support pupils in their day-to-day lives, helping them to feel safe, valued, confident and able to achieve their potential.
The role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide dedicated care, support and encouragement to pupils aged 3-19.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Support pupils with their personal, social and emotional development.
Assist with personal care where required.
Support pupils with a range of additional and special educational needs.
Help pupils access learning and participate in activities at their own level.
Provide a combination of care, nurture and some academic support.
Encourage independence and celebrate individual progress and achievements.
Work closely with teachers and other members of the team to provide consistent support.
Help create a calm, safe and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
Who we're looking for
You don't necessarily need previous SEN experience.
