About the Job:

Global market leading provider of measurement equipment / technology solutions for the construction and surveying sector now seek to recruit an Account Manager for the Yorkshire / Northeast region.

Reporting to the Sales Director the focus of your role will be to manage a number of targeted, strategic and named key accounts for the UK business assuming responsibility for maximising revenue from multiple channels including rental, sales, service and support.

The other focus of your role will be to liaise with sales teams in other areas within group to grow the revenue from these clients in other industry and product specific sectors. Thus ensuring that all relevant group technologies are adopted by customers to support the achievement of overall regional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing existing strategic and named key accounts.

Maintaining and developing both sales and rental turnover and profit.

Continued expansion within existing accounts and identifying new target clients and/or submarkets to break into.

Maintaining first rate customer service levels

Promoting / championing the company’s technical expertise and ensure differentiation from competitors via promotion of product and service USP’s.

Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to maximize market share and also fulfil the customers’ needs.

Generating new business, utilising existing and potential customer networks.

Working with the technical support function to ensure that customer training and support requirements are met.

What we are looking for:

This position would be perfect for a Surveyor / Civil Engineer / Construction Engineer looking to move into a more commercial role as full training will be provided or alternatively an experienced Account Manager (with the ability to identify and manage wider opportunities with key customers) gained working for an OEM or reseller of measurement equipment / technology solutions used in the construction and / or surveying market

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels.

A willingness to undertake business travel (domestic travel will be required for this role)

A commitment to continually develop your skills and knowledge.

A broad understanding / knowledge of construction process and products including measurement / positioning / surveying technologies.

Candidates with excellent account management skills (including the ability to identify and manage wider opportunities with key customers) gained working for an OEM or reseller of measurement equipment / technology solutions used in the construction and / or surveying market. Alternatively, a Surveyor or Civil Engineer/ Construction Engineer looking to move to a more commercial role will also be considered for cross training.
