Job Description

Technical Services Manager – Landmark Commercial Asset

Cobalt is proud to be working with a leading property brand in their search for a Technical Services Manager to oversee a prestigious commercial asset in the heart of London. Spanning over 600,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space and complemented by high-quality retail, this landmark building requires a proven professional to deliver exceptional technical and engineering standards.

The Role

As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of all M&E and technical operations across the building. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance, driving energy efficiency, and overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance. Working closely with service partners and internal stakeholders, you will ensure the asset remains best-in-class within the London market.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing all M&E operations across the asset, including both office and retail elements.
  • Managing service partners to ensure a culture of excellence, safety, and compliance.
  • Driving sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency throughout the building.
  • Leading on CAPEX and lifecycle projects, ensuring delivery on time and to budget.
  • Maintaining strong tenant relationships, acting as a technical point of contact for occupiers.
  • Working closely with the wider on-site team to ensure seamless building operations.

The Person

  • A strong background in M&E, ideally holding relevant technical qualifications (e.g. HVAP, HND/HNC, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience managing technical services within a high-profile, large-scale commercial building or portfolio.
  • Excellent knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and statutory requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and oversee high-value projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading property brand at one of London’s most prominent assets. You’ll be part of a high-performing team with scope to make a real impact on the ongoing success and performance of the building.
