Our customer are one of the highest profile commercial Property & Real Estate organisations in the UK, with a number of high profile developments and multi-tenant buildings they own and provide facilities/technical management for. With a current requirement at a mixed-use development in the Euston area of London, comprised of commercial/corporate office space, they seek an experienced technical services/engineering manager to help manage the outsourced HVAC service provider in their delivery of M&E maintenance across a West London mixed-use estate. Guideline salary for the position is between £70-75,000 and also has an excellent benefits package which includes annual bonus (up to 10%) and company pension contribution of 10%, as well as private healthcare, dental and share scheme.
The purpose of this role is to implement and maintain effective management systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the mechanical, electrical, transport and public health services to the tenant, while protecting and enhancing landlord assets within the building / estate. To contribute to the management of health, safety and wellbeing for all users of the building/ estate, while being expected to liaise directly with the principal service partner for all mep works.
Contract management. Organise and attend monthly meetings with associated contractors. Monitor, analyse and interpret the correct functioning of plant and systems via the building management system or other means. Carry out random checks of critical plant operation. Review contractors reports and any proposals. Carry out regular audits and inspections of all plant, related areas and equipment. Review contractor’s proposals and switching schedules for electrical shutdown works to ensure optimum level of service to occupiers and systems. Attend site during shutdowns and essential works as necessary. Attend site as necessary in the event of any emergency work or call out.
Candidates will be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, and with at least five years experience as a Technical / Engineering Services Manager. Ideally this experience will have been within the corporate or managing agent / real estate sector. Along with core M&E qualifications, additional training such as IOSH, NEBOSH or further education such as HND / Degree in and Engineering discipline will be beneficial.
