Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction Solicitor to join a highly regarded specialist construction law team in Leeds. Working closely with high profile partners, you will handle high value contentious matters, including mediations and arbitrations, while advising developers, contractors and other construction clients.

Rather than operating as a traditional full service practice, the firm focuses its expertise on the construction and engineering sectors, advising a diverse range of developers, contractors and major organisations on complex projects and disputes. The team is recognised in the legal directories for Construction law in Yorkshire.

Description

The Construction Solicitor will be:

Working with partners on a broad range of contentious construction matters

Assisting with high value and complex construction disputes

Advising developers, contractors and other construction industry clients

Working on disputes involving contractual and project related issues

Assisting with alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and arbitrations

Drafting correspondence, pleadings, submissions and other legal documentation

Profile

The Construction Solicitor should be:

A solicitor with ideally 0 to 3 years PQE

Interested in developing a career specialising in construction law

Ideally experienced in or exposed to contentious construction matters

Familiar with dispute resolution and alternative dispute resolution processes

Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem solving skills

Confident communicating with clients and colleagues

Able to work effectively alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers

Ambitious, personable and keen to develop within a specialist practice

Ties to the Leeds area

Job Offer

Salary ranging from £63,000 to £75,000

5% pension contribution.

25 days of holiday leave.
