Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.

We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.

Private networks- We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?

Supporting National Grid projects, the Project Engineer provides technical assurance and supports the Project Manager in delivering installation and commissioning projects across varying scale, complexity, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering standards to identify risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.

• Support planning and sequencing of works.

• Create accurate BoMs, including detailed consumables.

• Monitor progress, identify issues, and propose recovery actions to maintain timescales.

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.

• Ensure work meets client, statutory, and company requirements, adhering to HSE, RAMS, and safe systems of work.

• Liaise with design teams, suppliers, and internal functions, contribute to meetings, and support acceptance into live service.

What you’ll bring?

Essential

• Networking background in circuit delivery, equipment ordering, and service/solution delivery.

• Basic understanding of routers, switches, telephony, telecoms AC/DC power, CWDM, DWDM, SDH, Carrier Ethernet, and IP.

• Proactive in managing project tasks and issues, with strong MS Office skills.

• Detail-oriented, patient, thorough, and accurate with paperwork.

• Eligible for SC clearance.

Desirable

• LCE, FE or PE experience.

• CNI environment experience.

• Background in design assurance, regulatory engagement, or technical governance roles. routers, switches, telephony, telecoms AC/DC power, and technologies including CWDM, DWDM, SDH, Carrier Ethernet and IP.
