About the role Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician looking for a new opportunity within a successful manufacturing business?

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering and maintenance team at our manufacturing site in Barnsley .

You will play an important role in keeping production machinery and plant running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), electrical fault finding, breakdown repairs and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone who enjoys diagnosing faults, solving technical problems and keeping production equipment operating at its best.

What you'll be doing As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, plant and equipment

Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce breakdowns and production downtime

Responding quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding

Diagnosing faults on production machinery and restoring equipment to safe operation

Fault finding on mechanical systems, including gearboxes and associated equipment

Working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and circuits

Supporting the reliable operation of manufacturing and production equipment

Working with on-site contractors and remote service engineers

Communicating effectively with production, engineering and external technical teams

Recording maintenance activities, breakdowns and repairs accurately using the CMMS system

Monitoring and managing stock levels of critical engineering spare parts

Identifying recurring equipment faults and contributing to improvements in machine reliability
