We are recruiting for an established manufacturer with a highly automated production facility in the Burnley area. You'll join an experienced engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving a varied range of modern production machinery.

This is a permanent role offering approximately £44,000, with additional overtime paid at time and a half.

The role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will:
Diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns
Complete planned and preventative maintenance
Fault-find PLC-controlled production machinery
Maintain motors, drives, sensors, conveyors and control systems
Work with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
Read electrical and mechanical drawings
Support equipment installations and improvements
Help reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability

What we're looking for

You should have:
A Level 3 electrical or electrical/electronic engineering qualification
Alternatively, a completed engineering apprenticeship with strong electrical experience
Maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical fault-finding ability
Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
A practical and proactive approach to solving problems
Experience within an automated manufacturing environment would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from engineers across a range of manufacturing sectors.

Approximately £44,000 including shift allowance
Rotating days and afternoons
No night shifts
35-hour standard working week
Early finish on Fridays
Overtime available at time and a half
