Financial Controller

Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for a growing and ambitious organisation in Exeter. This role will play a pivotal part in leading and developing the finance team, managing day-to-day financial operations, and driving efficiencies through improved systems, processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the finance function and team
• Lead the implementation of new systems and processes across the business
• Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Take ownership of budgeting and forecasting activities
• Manage cash flow forecasting and financial planning
• Partner with senior leaders, providing financial guidance on key projects and initiatives
• Support the business in achieving key performance and revenue objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic projects and continuous business improvement initiatives

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Highly motivated with a positive, proactive attitude
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercially minded with excellent analytical abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
