This critical role involves maintaining complex building systems across a multi-tenanted campus, including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, communications infrastructure, and critical switch rooms.Key ResponsibilitiesCritical Systems ManagementMonitor and maintain HVAC systemsOversee water management systemsMaintain electrical distribution systems and emergency power generation equipment, emergency backup systems, UPS management.Regulatory Compliance & DocumentationEnsure all facility operations comply statuary complianceComplete accurate shift logs, maintenance records, and regulatory documentationParticipate in regulatory inspections and audits as requiredMaintain calibration schedules for critical monitoring equipmentPreventive & Reactive MaintenanceExecute scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established protocolsRespond to emergency calls and system alarms within established timeframesTroubleshoot and repair building automation systems (BAS) and process equipmentCoordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairsSafety & Environmental ManagementImplement and maintain safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and company standardsMonitor environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and particulate levelsManage hazardous waste disposal and chemical storage proceduresConduct safety inspections and participate in safety training programsRequired QualificationsEducation & CertificationsAssociate's degree in Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or related fieldRelevant trade certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferredFDA-regulated environment experience strongly preferredExperience3-5 years of facilities engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or similar regulated environmentExperience with cleanroom operations and GMP requirementsKnowledge of building automation systems (Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens)Technical SkillsUnderstanding of HVAC psychrometrics and cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644)Knowledge of electrical systems including motor controls and power distributionProficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Basic understanding of process validation and qualification protocolsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologiesKnowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processesFamiliarity with 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records requirementsThis role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a global client, lead a diverse team, and drive innovation in facilities management.
