Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Academics are currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for one of our 2 form entry primary schools based in East Leeds. This long term roles starts after October half term and runs until the end of the academic year.
About the Role:
As a Higher level Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across key stage 1 and key stage 2. This is a cover-based role, so flexibility and confidence in delivering planned lessons across different year groups is essential. You will be working closely with class teachers and the senior leadership team to ensure continuity and high standards in the absence of teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Support learning outcomes by working with small groups and individual pupils
Provide targeted intervention sessions where necessary
liaise with teachers to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum
Uphold school policies and contribute to the wider school ethos
Ideal Candidate:
Holds HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) status or significant experience in a similar role
Confident across all primary key stages
Committed, adaptable and passionate about childrens' learning
Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
Must have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
