Job Description

Up to £55,000 , DOE Purfleet , Essex, Permanent. Monday-Friday, 6:00am-3:30pm , 31 Days Holiday Increased Entitlement with Service

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join a successful and growing specialist engineering business.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of a busy workshop and field service operation, coordinating engineers, managing customer requirements and ensuring servicing, repairs and breakdowns are completed efficiently.

Salary up to £50,000
Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 3:30pm
31 days holiday, increasing with service
Permanent position
No regular weekend working

Varied role with real responsibility and autonomy

As Workshop Controller you will:

Plan and allocate work to workshop and mobile engineers.
Coordinate servicing, repairs, breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
Manage work schedules and react to changing priorities.
Keep customers updated on job progress and completion times.
Coordinate vehicle/equipment collections and deliveries.
Maintain accurate job, quotation and parts records.
Liaise with engineers, customers, suppliers and internal departments.
Help maximise workshop efficiency and engineer utilisation.We would welcome people to apply that have:

Previous experience as a Workshop Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Workshop Controller, Service Controller or Engineering Planner would be ideal.

Strong organisation and communication skills, alongside experience within a technical environment such as:

Work experience within HGVs, Commercial Vehicles, Cranes , Hydraulics, Plant, Lifting Equipment , Heavy Engineering | Field Service

Confident managing engineers and customers, comfortable making decisions and able to keep things moving in a busy engineering environment.
