Teaching Assistant - Music
Location: Bristol
Pay Rate: £90 - £100 per day (subject to experience and qualifications)
Hours: Part- or full-time hours during school hours.
Were currently partnering with a wide range of schools across Bristol and are looking for charismatic, proactive, and engaging teaching assistants from a music background. Whether youre in between auditions or performances, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your musical talent and creativity in a school setting helping children not only with their learning but also with their social-emotional development (SEL).
Weve found that teaching assistants with experience in music and performance often build quick, meaningful connections with students sometimes through shared interests in music, rhythm, and expression. You can work flexibly from just one day a week to full-time, depending on your availability. School hours are generally 8:00am4:00pm, and pay is weekly. Responsibilities include:
To plan and deliver learning activities to children and young people, differentiating, modifying and using specialist activities and approaches according to children or young people's responses/needs.
To support students with ASD to fulfil their academic potential.
To support all pupils, and particularly those with ASD to play a full role in the life of the school, building their confidence and self-esteem
Qualifications & attributes: These Teaching Assistant roles suit people with:
A background in music (performance, production, DJing, etc.)
Confidence and a warm, outgoing personality
A desire to support young people in both academic and SEN areas
Experience working with children or young people (formal or informal)
