Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and values-led organisation to recruit a People Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a collaborative people team and play a pivotal role in supporting managers and employees across a diverse organisation.

With a strong focus on employee experience, continuous improvement and organisational development, this role offers the opportunity to influence people practices while contributing to a range of strategic HR initiatives and transformation projects.

Your New Role

As a People Advisor, you will provide a proactive, professional and solutions-focused HR advisory service, partnering closely with managers across the business. You will manage a broad range of employee relations cases and support key people processes, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance management cases

Providing expert advice and guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures and employment law

Leading on attendance management, supporting managers with short and long-term absence cases and return-to-work processes

Supporting performance improvement plans and development initiatives through effective use of HR systems and people data

Building strong stakeholder relationships and acting as a trusted advisor across multiple business functions

Supporting recruitment, retention, talent development and apprenticeship programmes

Contributing to the delivery of wider People Strategy objectives, organisational change and transformation projects

Identifying training needs and supporting learning and development initiatives

Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity and compliance

Working collaboratively with recognised trade unions to maintain effective employee relationsWhat You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced HR professional with strong advisory capabilities and a confident approach to stakeholder management.You will ideally demonstrate:

CIPD Level 5 qualification (or be working towards a qualification) or equivalent practical experience

Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR position
