Group Financial Controller

Job Description

A high-growth, private equity-backed business is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead its Group finance operations during an exciting phase of expansion and transformation.Operating across multiple markets, the business delivers specialist solutions to a broad portfolio of clients. With growing revenues, the organisation is investing significantly in systems, reporting capability, operational scalability, and future acquisitive growth.This is a highly visible role reporting to the CFO, offering broad exposure across financial control, group reporting, finance transformation, systems optimisation, and stakeholder management within a fast-paced PE environment.The RoleThis is a hands‑on leadership position suited to a technically strong and commercially aware finance professional who enjoys operating in a dynamic international business.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the month‑end close and group consolidation process across multiple international entitiesDelivering high‑quality reporting packs for senior leadership, lenders, and investorsManaging the year‑end statutory reporting and external audit processOverseeing complex accounting areas including intercompany accounting, revenue recognition, debt structures, and foreign exchangeMaintaining and enhancing financial controls, governance, and compliance processesManaging and optimising the ERP environment to support scalability and reporting improvementsOverseeing cash management, balance sheet integrity, payroll approvals, VAT, and working capital controlsDriving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls, and reportingSupporting automation, reporting enhancement, and finance systems optimisation initiativesPartnering with operational and data teams to improve integration between financial and commercial reportingManaging and developing the finance teamDriving accountability, process improvement, and capability development across the functionCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate will likely demonstrate:Strong post‑qualified experience within Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership rolesExperience within private equity‑backed and multi‑entity environmentsStrong technical accounting and group consolidation expertiseExperience operating within mid‑market, fast‑growing organisationsA hands‑on, pragmatic approach combined with strong attention to detailExposure to finance transformation, systems improvement, or change initiativesExperience within B2B services environments would be advantageousIf you meet the above‑mentioned criteria, please apply below.
