TITLE: Sous Chef Independent Restaurant Cambridge - £36,000 plus Tips New Opening
COMPANY PROFILE:
I am proud to be representing this Cambridge based client who is a Brand-New Restaurant serving fresh food to a high standard. This is a new opening with an amazing kitchen.
The Owner is a strong believer in work life balance and will not be expecting you to work more than 45 hours a week.
SOUS CHEF POSITION:
As the Sous Chef, you will be supporting the Head Chef with overseeing the day-to-day management of the kitchen and its team, ensuring that the existing high standards are maintained within this established venue.
You will need experience of a fast-paced environment, knowledge of fresh food preparation and service and have a strong understanding of labour control, stock management and ordering.
You will be expected to:
- Be able to prepare, cook and run every section
- To oversee the kitchen team ensuring all members manage their sections and work in a clean tidy and efficient manner
- To learn new dishes and new styles and consistently strive to be the leading edge in food fashion.
- Working approximately 45 hours per week
- Training & development of junior team members
- Maintaining very high standards of food hygiene / allergen requirements and health & safety guidelines.
