JGA are working exclusively with a fantastic organisation in the Local Government sector to appoint a Payroll Manager to develop the Payroll function and lead and develop the Payroll team.

Responsibilities:
· Manage the Payroll team, ensuring the training and development of the team.
· Monthly payroll processing for over 1,000 employees.
· Ensure compliance for payroll & pensions is met, advising staff on legislation change.
· Ensure the timely productions of pensions, P11Ds, and autoenrollment pensions.
· Lead on upgrades for the system, maintaining the Payroll/HR system (ResourceLink).
· Knowledge of LGPS pensions.
About you:
· A CIPP qualification.
· Education/public sector experience is desired.
· ResourceLink experience is desirable.
· Strong IT skills and HRIS experience.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
