O’Shea has over 55 years’ experience in construction and development in the London market. We are currently involved in over £2 billion of development and have completed over 17,000 units in the last 10 years. The company has an excellent reputation for its in-house expertise across the entire development cycle from acquisition and planning through to development and construction. It has been involved in some of the London’s major developments over the last 10 years.
The group has ambitious growth plans through its newly formed development business which include over 1,200 Build-to-Rent units, hotels and c200 holiday homes which are under construction, and we are looking for experienced Development Managers to join the team.
Responsibilities
Manage and negotiate the acquisition, planning, design, and construction aspects of our development projects
Managing relationships with project and construction teams to ensure development projects are completed in a timely manner, designed according to plan and within budgetary guideline.
Preparation and continuous updating of development appraisals.
Procure and manage third party consultants to support project delivery.
Managing relationships with and providing regular project updates to the wider development team and funding partners.
Qualifications
• Candidate should enjoy working as part of a team but must also have the ability to take ownership and work independently, whilst keeping senior management updated.
• Minimum of 3 years of development management experience.
• Educated to degree level.
• RICS qualified preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience in planning, design, and delivery in the Build-to-Rent, Co-Living, PBSA and/or Hotel sector(s).
• Experience leading project teams and achieving planning consents on complex developments.
• Experience working with and reporting to various stakeholders and funders.
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of Excel, Bluebeam/ Adobe and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills and experience creating and managing financial models.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
