Mission
As a Shift Engineer, you will ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel facilities. You will support both preventative and corrective maintenance activities, contributing to a safe, compliant, and comfortable environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with company standards and schedules
Respond to and complete corrective maintenance tasks efficiently and safely
Ensure compliance with all technical and legal requirements
Support the monitoring and optimisation of energy usage across the hotel
Assist in identifying maintenance improvements and operational efficiencies
Participate in maintenance inventory control and stock checks
Respond to fire alarm activations and follow emergency procedures as part of the fire safety team
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system updates
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guests
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality, and presentation
What are we looking for?
Previous experience in a similar engineering or maintenance role, ideally within a hotel environment
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems
Understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Flexible approach to working shifts
Good communication skills
Proactive and reliable attitude
Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
