We are now seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Assistant Commercial & Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in driving commercial growth by supporting and optimizing sales, product development, tender management, and supply operations.

Our revenue is £7million looking to grow to £20-30m over the next 2 years, so plenty of oppurtunity to grow with the company.

You should be ambitious, diligent, organised, good with processes and commercially aware.

This role involves cross collaboration with multiple teams, a high verbal and written skill of British-English langugae is required. Ideally you are local to Leeds or can relocate.

Responsibilities:

Sales Operations Support:

Analyze sales data to identify trends, market demands, and potential for new product lines or customer segments.

Collaborate with the sales team to develop targeted marketing campaigns and sales strategies.

Assist with trade shows and other sales events to promote products and generate leads.

Assist with order processing and ensure smooth fulfillment to enhance customer satisfaction.

Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes and improve efficiency.

Product Development Operations Support:

Translate market insights and sales feedback into product development requirements.

Partner with product development teams to ensure new products meet market needs and commercial viability.

Analyze competitor offerings and industry trends to inform product innovation strategies.

Assist with prototyping and testing processes to ensure timely and cost-effective product launch.

Evaluate the impact of new products on sales and profitability.

Tender Management Operations Support:

Assist in preparing competitive proposals and bids for government and other major contracts.

Ensure compliance with all tender requirements and specifications.

Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to guarantee efficient fulfillment of contract terms.

Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers within potential client organizations.

Analyze the cost-effectiveness and profitability of potential tenders.

Supply Operations Support:

Analyze supplier performance and negotiate cost-effective agreements to optimize purchasing costs.

Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and optimize cash flow.

Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Analyze the impact of supply chain costs on product pricing and profitability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Foster strong communication and collaboration between sales, product development, tender management, and supply operations teams to ensure alignment and optimize resources.

Facilitate cross-functional projects and initiatives to achieve common goals and maximize commercial performance.

Act as a point of contact and bridge between various departments, resolving issues and ensuring smooth information flow.

Other Responsibilities:

Prepare reports and analyze data to track progress towards commercial goals across all operations.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction across departments.

Support the Commercial Manager and Operations Manager with various administrative and strategic tasks.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in both commercial and operational domains.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial or operations role, preferably within the tactical clothing or related industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, capable of building strong relationships across diverse teams.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering open communication and cross-functional teamwork.

Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM software, data analysis tools, and project management methodologies.

Understanding of financial modeling, pricing strategies, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles.

A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for driving growth and efficiency across all operations.
