Purpose of job
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.
The Commercial Product Manager works within Zest’s Marketing team to manage the introduction and ongoing commercial success of the product offering. The role partners with other key departments to build awareness and adoption of the product. The role also works with the Leadership team and other key stakeholders to achieve wider company goals.
Key Accountabilities
The role is responsible for the following:
Own the launch and ongoing commercial success of the product line
Produce and maintain product roadmaps for ongoing product enhancements
Manage the delivery and ongoing performance of the product line across multiple sites throughout the UK
Complete relevant market research to establish market need, product viability, relevant target markets, and the road to market(s)
Complete commercial viability studies and business cases for concepts, to aid with decision making around company strategy and direction for product growth
Partner with key 3rd parties to deliver additional supporting benefits to the product line
Partner with other key internal stakeholders and departments to bring new products to market in line with achieving wider business goals
Working with the wider marketing team to devise and implement relevant marketing campaigns for products
Work directly with pilot customers to monitor the first deployments of new solutions
Liaise with internal and external teams to ensure tasks are completed and campaigns delivered on time
Plus, any other duties as required as a member of the leadership team

Knowledge and Skills
Previous experience working in similar role within a product/marketing team
Track record of successfully launching and managing new product offerings
Track record of working with and understanding relevant commercial models
Experience of working with financial modelling
Strong business acumen
Ability to produce and communicate a clear product strategy, including product pricing guidelines and product positioning
Outstanding organisational and time management skills
