Salary: £95 - £120 per day

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping secondary school students achieve their potential?

Do you have experience supporting young people with mild SEND?

Are you patient, approachable and confident working with students who may need additional support in the classroom?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Derby that is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support secondary-aged students with mild SEND, working alongside teaching staff to provide classroom support, encourage engagement and help students access learning effectively.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Relevant qualification in education, childcare or supporting teaching and learning desirable

• Experience working with secondary-aged students

• Experience supporting children or young people with mild SEND

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient and positive approach

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
