Technical Lead Developer

Are you a Lead Developer/Tech Lead looking for a role where you can have real influence on how things are built and improved?

We’re working with a well-established Scottish financial services business that’s going through a significant transformation. They’re investing heavily in their systems and need someone who can help shape and deliver that change from a technical perspective.

This is a hands‑on role, but with a strong leadership element — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with the business, and helping others develop.

What you’ll be doing

Leading the design and development of key systems and projects

Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and shape solutions

Improving existing processes, particularly across policy administration systems

Supporting and mentoring other developers in the team

Getting involved in the full lifecycle — from design through to delivery

Working with third‑party suppliers to make sure solutions are delivered properly

What they’re looking for

Experience in a Lead Development capacity

Background in Life & Pensions is essential

Experience working on regulatory or transformation projects

Experience with SSIS and working with data

Someone who’s practical, solutions‑focused, and comfortable working through complex problems

A team player who’s happy to support and guide others
