Your Career Journey
Stage 1: IT Support & Infrastructure Apprentice
You'll gain hands-on experience supporting a wide range of IT and networking projects, including:
Install and terminate Cat6, Cat6a, and fiber optic cabling for voice and data networks.
Structured cabling installations, including trunking, conduit work, cable dressing, patch panel termination, and labeling
Installation of IT hardware ranging from servers, switches, routers, wireless access points, PCs, printers, and peripherals pre-configured with back office support.
Conduct site surveys and produce detailed installation reports and layout plans for quotations
Troubleshoot and repair network or cabling issues at client sites
Maintain stock of installation materials and ensure tools and equipment are well maintained.
1st line IT Support on the Help desk when busy

Essential Skills & Qualities
Passion for IT and technology.
Practical approach to problem-solving.
Basic understanding of desktop PCs and printers.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Professional and reliable attitude.
Desirable
Experience installing data cabling.
Experience working with Wi-Fi Access Points.
Basic networking knowledge.
Experience building, repairing, or configuring computers.
Electrical or installation experience.
Familiarity with using ladders, drills, and hand tools safely.
Additional Requirements
Must be 25+ and have a Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel to different sites.
Comfortable carrying out physical installation work.
Able to work safely at height using ladders when required.
Confident using tools and equipment as part of installations.
